The criminals are creative. From Facebook order-taking to sophisticated financial crimes, 2015 is shaping up to be another year where 9 out of ten Minnesota retailers are victims of organized retail crime (ORC). Across the country, criminal activities cost retailers $30 billion a year and drive up consumer prices.
Get on top of today's crime trends at the Minnesota Retailers Association "2015 Crime Update" featuring:
- Supervisory Special Agent Jeffrey K. Van Nest with the Minneapolis Division Federal Bureau of Investigation; and
- Vice Chairman Alan Tague with the National Retail Federation Loss Prevention Advisory Council and vice president of loss control at Gander Mountain Company.
Hear insights on the newest fraud and theft scams that are both threatening business owners and challenging law enforcement and what is being done to stop them. In addition, hear an update on the Twin Cities Organized Retail Crime Association.
Retailers, business representatives, and law enforcement welcome. Seating is limited to 100, so register soon. Breakfast included with registration. Members and non-members welcome.
